Register Domain<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

Overview<\/strong><\/h4>\n\n\n\n

Prior to installing the SMS-Magic Converse<\/strong>, consider the following:<\/p>\n

  • For users of Salesforce Lightning, the registering domain is mandatory.<\/li>
  • For users of Salesforce Classic, the registering domain is recommended but not mandatory.<\/li><\/ul>\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/div><\/p>\n\n\n\n

    The advantages of registering the domain are:<\/p>\n\n\n\n

    • A domain permits the use of several additional features of SMS-Magic Converse.<\/li>
    • A domain helps you highlight the organization\u2019s brand.<\/li>
    • A domain provides additional security to the organization\u2019s Salesforce.com.<\/li>
    • A domain is also a prerequisite to using the Lightning components such as the Lightning pages and the Lightning App Builder.<\/li>
    • A domain is necessary to use standalone apps with Salesforce.com.<\/li><\/ul>\n\n\n\n

      Procedure to Register A Domain<\/h4>\n\n\n\n
      1. From the Salesforce navigation on the top right click and then click Setup<\/b>.<\/li>

      2. Select My Domain by:
        • Using the Search Setup field, or<\/li>
        • Using the Quick Find search field, or<\/li>
        • Selecting Computer Settings > My Domain.<\/li><\/ul><\/li>
        • On the My Domain Step 1 page enter the domain name.<\/li>

        • Click Check Availability<\/b> to check the availability of the domain name.<\/li>
        • If the domain is available, then click Register Domain<\/b>. If the domain is unavailable, enter a new domain name and check its availability.<\/li>
        • On registering your domain an email is sent from Salesforce.com with the following subject line  Your Developer Edition domain ready for testing<\/em>.<\/li>
        • Open the email message and click the link to go to My Domain Step 2<\/b>.<\/li>

        • Refresh the My Domain<\/b> page. The My Domain Step 3<\/b> page appears.<\/li>

        • Click Log in<\/b>. You can now log in to the newly created domain.<\/li>
        • Click Deploy to Users<\/b>.The domain is now registered and available to all users in the organization.<\/li>
