Using the Action Key generated for each message in a message flow, you can trigger further messages from a Process Builder. The triggering of the messages is based on certain criteria and conditions.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

What is the Action Key?<\/h3>\n\n\n\n

For each message created in the message flow, a unique Action Key is generated. The action key is necessary to trigger messages from the Process Builder. The action key appears as shown.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Trigger a Message Flow from Process Builder using Action Key <\/h3>\n\n\n\n
    \n
  1. Click on the Salesforce navigation on the top right and then click Setup<\/b><\/li>\n
  2. Select Process Builder by:\n
      \n
    • Using the Search Setup field, or<\/li>\n
    • Using the Quick Find search field, or<\/li>\n
    • Selecting Platform Tools > Process Automation > Process Builder.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n
      \n<\/li>\n
    • Click New<\/b>.<\/li>

      \n

    • In the New Process <\/b> window, enter the following information:\n
        \n
      • The Process Name<\/li>\n
      • The API name<\/li>\n
      • A Description of the process.<\/li>\n
      • The Action trigger indicating when the process will begin.<\/li>

        \n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n

      • Click Save<\/b>.<\/li>\n
      • In the Process Builder page click Add Object<\/b> and define the object.<\/li>

      • Click Save<\/b>.<\/li>\n
      • Click Add Criteria<\/b> and define the criteria for the action group.<\/li>

      • Click Add Action<\/b> and define the following:<\/li>

        ACTION<\/th>DESCRIPTION<\/th><\/tr>
        Action Type<\/td>Select Create a Record<\/strong> from the drop-down menu.<\/td><\/tr>
        Action Name<\/td>Type an Action name.<\/td><\/tr>
        Record Type<\/td>Select Converse App Task<\/strong> from the drop-down menu.<\/td><\/tr>
        Set Field Values \u2013 Automation Key Reference<\/td>Enter the Action Key after creating the message in the message flow procedure.<\/td><\/tr>
        Set Field Values \u2013 Lookup Reference<\/td>Select the lookup reference information. Select the Object<\/strong>from the drop-down. Select Field Reference<\/strong> from the Type<\/strong>drop-down. Search for the Field Reference Value<\/strong>.<\/td><\/tr><\/tbody><\/table>\n

      • Click Save<\/b>.<\/li>\n
      • Click Activate<\/b> and then click Confirm<\/b>.<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n
